After the Dentist
Ellie had a cavity filled on Monday. The dentist numbed the right top side of her mouth. She's such a smiley little thing, and when Maho saw her smile he thought it was the funniest thing ever! The more he laughed, the more Ellie laughed, and he manage to snap a photo of her laughing. She looks like Sylvester Stallone's offspring...Wednesday, March 31, 2010
Little Daisy Scout

I really need to learn to rotate photos on here. This is Ellie in her Daisy Girl Scout uniform. She and Whitney and Brianna are all girl scouts this year. We decided to try it out. They've had lots of fun. One "fun" thing we just finished up with was Girl Scout cookies. Between the 3 of them they sold about 100 boxes in the neighborhood, and then we took several turns working at cookie booths. That actually was pretty fun. They cookies sell themselves. Everyone loves girl scout cookies!

"I don't want to have babies"

This morning Tessy asked me where Papa was.
"He's helping out at the high school today." I explained.
"Oh, at Lulu's school?" she asked.
"No, at the high school, not the junior high."
"At the ninas' school?"
"No, at the high school, where the really big kids go."
"How big?" She asked.
"Between 15 and 18." I told her.
"Oooh." She smiled. "I want to teach those kids."
"Do you think those kids would like to learn from a 4-year-old?" I asked
"No! When I'm big." she explained.
"I bet you would be a great high school teacher." Then out of the blue she said,
"But I DON'T want to have babies. Then you have to go to the doctor." This was not the first time she's told me that she doesn't want to have babies.
"Oh, but they're so cute and squishy and cuddly!" I told her.
"They're not cuddly," she insisted. "They SLOBBER."
Tuna Ebleskievers

Today Tessy wanted a tuna sandwhich. We were all out of bread, but I have some leftover Ebleskievers in the fridge. So this is Tessy eating her tunafish ebleskiever sandwhiches. Pomegranate Grandma would have told me we are terrible Danes (Ebleskievers are Danish)! Then she'd have laughed and eaten a tuna ebleskiever with us!
(I'm a do-do and couldn't figure out how to rotate the photo!! But hey, at least I posted one!!)

Mom's Graduation!! May 2, 2009
Here's all of my family with Mom, Dad and Granny. (Mahonry is trying to hide back there). We took the girls out of school so they could see Lol graduate. What a great example she is for all of us. By the way, for those of you who don't know, our kids call Mom "Lol," a name coined for her by Laurel when she could barely talk. So it doesn't stand for "Laugh out loud," although she does make us do that sometimes. =)
At the after-party we gave Lol a book of artwork done by each one of her grandchildren (it is already outdated!). Here she is opening it with the grandkids watching eagerly.

This is at our house just as the party was starting. Not everyone was there yet, but we got some of the grandkids in their cute grad-hats that Di made. In this picture are mine and Maho's kids, as well as Henry and Di's (far left and front and center). Those little caps were SO CUTE (not quite as cute as the little subjects wearing them). Di made one for each of the grandkids.

I just LOVE this photo! Isn't she cute?

Okay, now the name LOL is appropriate for her. The Groucho Marx look is in keeping with the great Stewart tradition, a gift from Uncle Rob and Aunt Bec. Mom is holding her Summa Cum Laude metal.
And don't look too closely but she is also wearing a BYU sweatshirt--on her graduation day!!
(She was cold--it's my sweatshirt, but we won't tell.)
